Ötzi: the Iceman

The 19th September two Germans found a mummified human corpse in the ice in the nearness of "Hauslabjoch".
At the very beginning they thought it was a victim of the moutain but after accurate researches by the Innsbruck Institute of Anatomy they did an extraordinary discovery: the mummy was 5.000 years old. The clamorous news rapidly spread throughout the world.
The mummy has been nicely called "Otzi" refering to "Otztal", the Austrian valley next to the place where the corpse had been found.
After long researches by the Institute, the corpse has been brought to Bolzano, where, because of the importance of the discovery the local authorities chose to furnish a permanent exhibition, so that you can get the opportunity to have a look of the mummy.
