The history of the Middle School (Junior High School) of Ortisei (Italy ).The first middle school (junior high school) in Ortisei was inaugurated on the 06. 11. 1951. The foundation was mainly supported by the first principal of the new middle school, dr. Silvester Erlacher, along with Vinzenz Aldosser and Franz Prugger. At the beginning the middle school was placed in the building of the primary school, later classes were held in the old town hall. Only in the year 1968 the present building was completed. At those times even children of Selva and St. Christina attended the school in Ortisei. The middle school has had three principals so far: dr. Silvester Erlacher, dr. Luis Comploj and dr. Helmut Senoner.
